Contract Packaging Service

129 Years of Experience

Bloomer's packaging expertise began in the late 1800's. Chocolates made in our factory were packed on trays and placed in wooden crates for delivery. Back then, candy shop merchants would take the trays of chocolates out of the crates and use them in their display cases.

As consumer demand grew for chocolates in the 1900's, Bloomer met the challenge with the introduction of pre-packed paper sacks which held multiple pieces of candy.

In the 1950's, Bloomer started a full service contract packaging and distribution operation for confectionary products. The company can re-pack a container of bulk provided product into individually wrapped pieces or create packaged products in a variety of sizes, shapes and combinations. Bloomer can even pack multiple items at the same time in one package.

In addition to contract packaging, Bloomer operates two distribution centers which can stock and ship your products to any location nationwide.

Bloomer's contract package department has five vertical form fill lines which can be set up to required specifications.
The packaging process begins with bulk product being loaded into the sorting hopper.
Product is then sorted by weight prior to bagging.
Bloomer's form fill machines can handle everything from clear plastic to foil packaging.
Once product is sealed, the finished package is boxed and placed on pallets ready for shipment.
